A. Information you provide
- Account info: name, username, email, password (or authentication token if using social login)
- Profile info: photo, bio (optional)
- Content you create: boards, posts, comments, tags, titles, descriptions
- Uploads: images, videos, documents (including PDFs) if you choose to upload them
- Contacts and invites: if you choose to invite people, we may process contact details you provide for that purpose
B. Information collected automatically
- Device and app data: device type, OS version, app version, language, time zone
- Usage data: features used, clicks, screens visited, error logs, performance diagnostics
- Approximate location: derived from IP address (typically at city or region level)
C. Information from third-party services
If you connect third-party services (for example sign-in providers), we receive limited data such as an account identifier and email, depending on what you authorize.
2. How we use your information
We use your information to:
- Provide and operate KeepShare, including creating boards, saving posts, and showing your library
- Manage friends and sharing settings (public, friends-only, private)
- Process uploads and display content as you intended
3. How sharing works in KeepShare
KeepShare allows you to control visibility:
- Private: only you can view
- Friends-only: only confirmed friends can view
- Public: anyone can view (including users who are not your friends)
If you choose to make content public, it may be visible broadly and may be shared by others via links or screenshots. You can change visibility in the app, but content that others have already copied may persist outside KeepShare.
4. Legal bases for processing (if applicable)
Depending on your location, we process information based on:
- Contract necessity (to provide the app)
- Legitimate interests (security, fraud prevention, product improvement)
- Consent (where required, for example certain marketing communications)
- Legal obligations (tax, compliance, lawful requests)
5. How we share information
KeepShare allows you to control visibility:
- Service providers: hosting, storage, analytics, crash reporting, email delivery, customer support tools
- Payment processors: to handle subscriptions and payments
- Legal and safety: to comply with law, enforce our terms, prevent harm, investigate fraud or abuse
6. Data retention
We keep information as long as needed to provide the service and for legitimate business purposes. If you delete content, we aim to remove it from active systems within a reasonable period, and from backups on a rolling schedule.
